Privacy Policy
Just Wright Therapy Website Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 2, 2026
Your privacy matters here, starting with your first visit to this website. This policy explains what information Justine Wright, LMFT, doing business as Just Wright Therapy ("Just Wright Therapy," "I," "me," or "my") collects through justwrighttherapy.net, how it's used, and the choices you have.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the messages you send through it. It does not cover your therapy records.
Once you become a client, your health information is protected by federal and California law and handled as described in my Notice of Privacy Practices. If anything in this policy conflicts with that Notice, the Notice controls for client health information.
Please don't share health details through this website
The contact form, email, and text messages are not the right place for sensitive information. Please share only what I need to get back to you, like your name, how to reach you, and a brief reason for reaching out. We'll talk about the rest in a private, secure setting.
This website is not monitored around the clock and is not a crisis service. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Information I collect
Information you choose to give me. When you fill out the contact form, email, call, text, or request an appointment, I receive what you send. That usually means your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, and anything you write in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site and the tools it uses collect some technical information when you visit. That can include your IP address, browser and device type, general location (city or region), pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, and whether you clicked a contact link or submitted a form. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
How I use your information
To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
To provide therapy services if you become a client (governed by my Notice of Privacy Practices)
To understand how visitors find and use the site so I can improve it
To measure whether my online advertising leads people to reach out
To keep the site secure and working properly
To meet legal and professional obligations
I do not sell your personal information. I do not use your information to show you ads based on your activity on other websites, and I do not share anything you write in a message with advertising companies.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses:
Squarespace Analytics, which shows me general traffic patterns, such as how many people visited and which pages they viewed.
Google Analytics, which helps me understand how visitors use the site in aggregate.
Google Ads conversion tracking, which tells me whether someone who clicked one of my ads later reached out (for example, by submitting the contact form or tapping my phone number). It does not send your name, email, or message contents to Google.
I do not use remarketing, retargeting, or audience lists to follow you around the internet with ads.
Google may collect information through these tools under its own privacy policy. You can manage cookies through the cookie banner on this site, through your browser settings, through Google's Ads Settings, or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
Do Not Track and other privacy signals
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond, this site does not change its behavior when it receives one. You can still decline analytics and advertising cookies through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
Who I share information with
I share information only as needed to run my practice and this website, with:
Service providers that host this site, deliver email, handle scheduling, run my client portal, and provide analytics and advertising measurement. They may use the information only to provide their services. Providers that handle client health information are required to protect it under a HIPAA business associate agreement.
Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, a court order, or professional obligations, or to protect someone's safety.
If my practice closes or transitions, in which case client records would be handled as required by law and my Notice of Privacy Practices.
Third-party portals and links
Scheduling, intake paperwork, billing, and online sessions happen through secure third-party platforms, such as my electronic health record and client portal provider. When you use those platforms, their privacy policies apply along with my Notice of Privacy Practices. This site may also link to outside resources I think are helpful. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
How long I keep information
If you reach out but don't become a client, I keep your messages only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for my records, then delete them. Client records are kept for the period required by law and my professional standards. Analytics data is kept according to each tool's retention settings.
How I protect information
I use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for client care. Still, no website, email, or internet transmission is ever completely secure, which is one more reason not to share health details through the contact form or email.
Your choices and rights
You can contact me at any time to ask what website information I have about you, to correct it, or to ask me to delete it, unless I'm required to keep it by law or professional standards. You can also opt out of analytics and advertising cookies as described above.
If you're a client, your rights over your health records (including the right to access and request changes) are described in my Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
This website is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this site. If you believe a minor has sent me information, please contact me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when my practices or the tools I use change. When I do, I'll post the updated version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, I'll make it noticeable on the site.
